BBQ Anyone?

The other day while I was looking for pictures for Cee’s Farm Related challenge I came across a lot of pictures I could have used, so I thought I’d post them the next couple of days. As I said before, the town I spend summers in is in cattle country. It is a free range area so every fall the cows come down from the high country. They roam through town before the ranchers bring them to the winter pasture. We had these cows in our yard and I just had to take a picture. I thought it was funny that the cow was standing in the fire ring in the yard. BBQ anyone? 😀

Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge- All Things Farm Related

Today the prompt at Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge is All Things Farm Related. The small town we spend the summers in is in cattle country. I grew up in the city, so it is fascinating to me to watch the work the ranchers do. I really like to watch the haying process. I love it when I go to town and see the hay cut, then the next time it is gathered in rows, then finally made into rolls (it use to be bales, but is now the giant roll)

We were on another RZR ride today. Right now all the trees have turned. I love the golden leaves against the white bark of the aspens. It had just rained and the light was awesome. You can see the dark storm clouds in the background.
